Belgian group of specialized hatcheries-calls for Job in Myanmar

Belgabroed -in a joint venture with De Heus Animal Nutrition (‘Dutch family business of the year 2015’) -  is building a hatchery with capacity of 200.000 day old chicks per week. The target is to supply the local farmers with qualitative day old chicks.

This project is partly subsidized by the government of the Netherlands.

Start-up of poultry production in Myanmar

Your challenge
You work for minimal 3 years in Myanmar, where you will be responsible for construction and the daily management of the new hatchery. In the first phase you will follow up and guide the process of obtaining licenses for the construction and exploitation of the hatchery. During construction – which you follow in detail – you will search the appropriate regional operators and supervisors which you will train and instruct. When the hatchery is operational, you will be in charge of the commercialization of the day old chicks together with De Heus Myanmar. You will follow up on the financial side as well as the technical side of this project and report to the direction in Belgium.

Your profile

You are an entrepreneurial, tactful personality with management skills and are prepared to learn the ‘craft of incubating and hatching’ in practice. You have a university degree in economics and/or engineering, MBA preferred. Some years of experience in junior function is an advantage.

You are flexible, have a hands-on mentality and are passionate about your job.

You have affinity with agribusiness, are prepared to work fully on this project for at least for 3 years and are willing to settle in Myanmar during this period. You are communicative and know how to motivate people. Strong organizational qualities and good commercial skills will prove to be useful.
